Course Description:

This course meets NFPA 1670’s requirements.  It is a continuation to the Operations Level Course and exposes students to more complex trenches.  Students will be provided with the understanding of OSHA CFR—1926 Subpart P, standard, and its role in Trench Rescue.

Students at this level can work in all trenches—nonintersecting, intersecting, deep wall trenches greater than 8ft and recognize hazards associated with them.

Students must bring NFPA 1951 compliant gloves which have a rugged exterior and may or may  not have a liner, helmet and steel toe protective footwear that zips or ties on.  Please also bring a class III NFPA approved harness, if you have access to one. Personal gear will be inspected by the Instructor prior to approval for use.
